City of Brewster Shoreline Master Program: Comprehensive Update
Public Comment Requested - September 14, 2016 to October 14, 2016 at 5:00 p.m.
The Washington Department of Ecology seeks public comment on the City of Brewster’s proposed update to its Shoreline Master Program.
The City of Brewster is located in the north-central part of Washington along the main stem of the Columbia River. The proposed shoreline program will guide construction and development along the shoreline jurisdiction within Brewster. This comprehensive update will completely replace the current 1991 SMP. The locally tailored plan is designed to help minimize environmental damage to shoreline areas, reserve appropriate areas for water-oriented uses and protect people’s access to public land and waters.
Ecology will compare Brewster's proposed program to the requirements of the Shoreline Management Act and the Shoreline Master Program Guidelines. Based on the comparison, Ecology will decide whether to:

Public comment period
All interested parties are invited to provide comment about the proposed amendment during this public comment period. There are several ways to provide comments. You only need to submit your comments once.
